A one-day choose your own adventure event to celebrate queer community in Revelstoke in September 2023.
The program was open to queers and allies from age 16 years+. Priority given to people with intersectional identities.
All sports were introductory level, with a guide and instruction provided, so no previous experience was required. Equipment provided if requested. Every activity will be “challenge by choice”, accessible to most bodies and paced by the participant's needs.

WINTER FILM FUNDRAISER
A special community screening, of People Like Us, in December 2023 in collaboration with Arts Revelstoke. This included a panel discussion featuring film participants and local queer voices.
All profits were donated to Open Mountain’s programs for youth and QTBIPOC participants.
We screened the film at Revelstoke Secondary School for 100 students, followed by a public screening with an audience of 250 people.
Open Mountains participated during the filming of this project and were featured in the film, along with one of our guides Janet Wong.
